Lake Manyara sits beneath the Rift Valley escarpment and offers striking habitat diversity within a compact area. Groundwater forests, open plains, soda lakes, and hot springs create ideal conditions for both wildlife and birdlife.

  • Dry season: Late June–October
  • Altitude: 850–2,000 m
